pOn August 15 members from the Carman Fire Department participated in abrMutual Aid Drill with numerous local fire departments hosted by thebrStanford Heights Fire Department. 12 volunteers staffed Engine 133 andbrTruck 132 the Drill was designed to train for a large building firebrwithout hydrants or an established water supply. Tankers were broughtbrin from South Schenectady and Pine Grove to shuttle water as well asbrEngines from Niskayuna and Stanford Heights to aid in the waterbrshuttled. At the dump site 3 portable ponds were set up where Enginebr133 and Fort Hunter E38 drafted out of the ponds becoming the sourcebrEngines for the simulated fire. Truck 132 and Stanford Heights Enginebr431 were set up in the rear of the building and were flowing multiplebrmaster streams.brbrAll in all many concepts were taking into account as well as manybrdepartments realizing what needs to be done if this were a livebrscenario.
