pnbsppdiv stylemargin 0in 0in 10ptOn Friday April 22supndsup the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to 1942 Clement Road for a House Fire. Chief 139 and Chief 138 responded with minutes of the call Rotterdam PD advised them en-route that a Rotterdam Paramedic had radioed in saying there was black smoke pushing from the house. Chief Sloan 139 arrived and confirmed a working house fire. At the same time Engine 131 responded with 5 volunteers and Engine 121 Rotterdam District 2 Engine 131 arrived and laid in from the hydrant across the street and stretched a 1 line. As the crew from Engine 131 was progressing into the house Engine 121 arrived and pulled a backup line and Truck 132 arrived and started opening up and venting. The crew of Engine 131 eventually located the seat of the fire and determined it was a fuel fire near the furnace extinguishers were brought in to eventually put the fire out. Rescue 134 and Rescue 168 South Schenectady arrived to provide additional support. The fire was under control within 20 minutes.
